Are you aware that tools designed for constructior purposes may not be "food safe"? There may be trace amounts of lead, cadmium, and other toxic metals in those trowels and scrapers that can leach into your food, expecially in high-heat cooking. I'd get some utensils actually designed for cooking, and not use tools made for spreading mortar.
IMHO this is by far the best edition of "Chuck's Stuff" yet (and the previous were all great)...maybe in part because of the vivid memories it conjures of crispy, juicy, greasy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious "Chuck's" smashburgers. All descriptions of the SB amazingness are true- and watching the master perform at the griddle is a treat before the burger even gets near your palate. Great one Chuck!
